  • Except the mosquitoes will fly in and I’ll wake up looking like the Black Plague has struck and be scratching like a flea bitten dog 😕

  • Yea.. But on the contrary , by having the windows open and with a sound of trees that sway and creek- it can be a lil bit scary.
    I’m picturing a horror movie 😣

  • I just was reading peoples comments 😆ha ha. Looks like not many of them are as romantic as you are 😄. I just thinking, darling, what would I do if you would sleep next to me with open window? Would I be able to sleep well because I wouldn’t be afraid? I think I wouldn’t be able to sleep at all because I would have to be sure that nothing bad would happen to you. What if someone would try to steal you – my treasure? 😴👀💃🏻 😄

  • i did this until there was a prowler with a flashlight outside one of my windows (there were screens on the windows, but no other protection). i called the police and sleep with the windows closed ever since. if i had more than one floor, i’d consider it again.

  • My very favorite thing in the world! A close second would be a thunderstorm like we used to get when I was a kid…the window rattling kind!

  • Now if only I had a man to lay with and run my fingers through his hair and hold him so close we’d always have to breath together to make it comfortable. Yep…someday 😊

  • If I open my bedroom window to hear the sounds of the rain, I will have a soggy carpet in the morning… Rain always blows in on that side of my house…

  • Can’t have my windows open at night anymore. I live too close to the street & being alone I don’t trust the riffraff that wanders through my neighborhood heading for the road to the Bitterroot! Had a guy one time right under my bedroom window. He said he was just getting a drink of water from the outside spigot but who knows?

  • But the worst of all, I think is ; trees are being cut down , global warming or climate change , and polluted wind and now I’m just imagining great things like this because it wouldn’t happen anymore again like before.

  • No offence but what kind of crappy quote is this?!? Every day I find the same cliche hippie hipster u name it quotes that seemed to have been written by puberty-hit 10 year olds, who think they are the new e.e.cummings. yeah. Been there done that. At least i kept it offline… for god’s sake…

  • Looking forward to the cooler nights for this reason. I have a stand of bamboo outside my bedroom that make all sorts of sounds along with the aluminum roof.

  • I always sleep with windows open. Especially if it’s raining outside. I feel the cool breeze and also the rain drops. I listen to it and look at the trees swaying outside

  • I would if I could but living in Florida I might ended up with a garden snakes, spiders, frogs, squirrels and the main guest: an alligator! LOL!

  • No. That would be a horror movie nightmare with the swaying tree reflections and the creaking sounds! 😖 oh and God forbid there’s lightning and thunder !

  • We got a desperately-needed rainstorm last night where I live, and it finally cooled off enough to open the windows instead of having the AC on. (I live in New Hampshire, we’re not used to this heat-and-humidity crapola! “Wicked Hot” for us is maybe 85F tops, we’ve been getting too many days close to 100 this summer.) I pushed the window open as far as it would go, and as the chilly, damp air made its way into the room I snuggled under a blanket and fell asleep listening to the raindrops rat-a-tat-tat on the top of the through-the-wall AC unit. I just wish the tractor-trailers out on the highways nearby didn’t drown out the wind in the trees, but you can’t have it all.

  • Rain on a steel roof. Distant rumbles of thunder from a night time storm. The smell of storm-laundered cool air…..
