I ended a 15 year relationship in Sept. It was to the point I was literally getting pains at the thought of coming home after work. I love my freedom and I will be working on me and enjoying life this year and making new friends.. Maybe 2018 will have me kissing my true love when the ball drops but this year I’m sleeping it in with my fur babies HAPPY, single and pain free.

Well, it’s just choice to some.. to be single, some fake it, some just hoping..bt for me I’m busy loving myself hopefully as I keep telling myself to be alone is ok..bt who knows, right!!! we never know! 🙂 😀 😛

i am married yet alone on new years eve due to my hubby working. had my years of being alone before married. wouldn’t have it any other way waiting for the right guy to come along and handle my strong personality.

Never really understood why there are any number of memes exhorting ppl to be “happy” while being single. I personally find having a frigging partner (aka another annoying human being flapping around wanting attention) a much greater struggle when it comes to finding happiness. Hell, would settle for the absence of irritation. Just can’t understand this need to have the company of someone who is essentially a stranger. Love? How the heck does anyone love anyone after meeting them for a few months? Pheromones only, really.

Could not have said better myself! I can wait til school break for my friend to come home rather than let history repeat itself! I’m a quick learner!!!!

There are many out there in the wrong relationships. I believe sometimes we don’t meet people for the RIGHT reasons. (The relationships that end up having issues). When we meet people for the right reasons….its then when we will know true love.

I’m hoping that if I tell someone I have feelings for them tonight they will reciprocate. But I’m a strong independent, Asexual woman so I don’t need anyone would just be nice to know they felt the same. Go liquid courage surge through my veins

i like this in a different way. Being cuddled in bed and warm on new years eve is better than faking my way into 2017 forcing a smile at a party i don’t want to be at!

Sooooo i true. I did this a few yrs ago with my ex trying to make things work. I thought a kiss at midnight was let us last all yr hell nah not even 2 months lol.

Single all the way! Hehe. True that it is better single than with wrong person. There are lots of things you can do while single like travel solo, makes you rediscover yourself and self-reflection while temporarily away from your world.

Married, single , cheating or flirting . Everyone has there own way to live. Don’t Judge and if you do just look in a mirror, the person looking back at you is the only person you have walked a mile in there shoes. But judge fairly.

I rather be single and alone then be so alone in a relationship. Seriously. Get to know the signs. If you don’t feel loved and more like being used. Get out. There’s always someone out there that deserves you and vice versa. This is YOUR life, life is precious and as always, live in the moment. Be happy!

Absolutely, why does everyone think being single is a bad thing, my happiness doesn’t depend on whether I in a relationship or not in one. If I meet a Woman who wants to share in my happiness then that will be OK ….

yes but She was not prepared to be a single mother, but she is. It’s not easy but she rather do it alone than with someone who doesn’t want to. Being with a single mother requires you to be a real man willing to lead. She is looking for a grown man, not another child she has to raise.

I was with someone for a little over a year, for months he told me he loved me, missed me, all those things, then he had to regroup so he says, a week after that he says he never loved me , says he tried but don’t have the feelings, broke my heart. Now he wants to see me just for sex. I’m not going to be used that way. Going into 2017 with a clean slate. If the right one comes along then that’d be great.

You finally got it. But remember you’re never alone, God has always been with you. Seek him first because he knows just what you need. And it is worth the wait.

I did that last year after 8 years with a loser. He tried to use New year’s to suck me back in because even when things sucked we ended up together for new years. But this year I get to spend it with a wonderful man :-). Hope everyone finds one like him

A human being can remain single in status but cannot remain single by heart…because a human being needs a heart to share and love….its human need..so in new year ,find a heart who understands, cares,shares and gives love despite everything..

He never deserved or appreciated my light, trust, loyalty, effort or love.
He said all the right things, called it love & that was the furthest thing from the truth. He continues to use people for what he can get…very sad.

Amen. I was married and felt alone and not loved. Therefore, being single is far better and so much more happier. I thank God everyday that he has a different plan me and the kids.
