When your not a priority to them it’s very obvious. When it’s not reciprocated it’s the worst feeling in the world. Your wasting time that you can never get back.

Selfishness is the root of our troubles, I have found the more I think about others, the less trouble I create for myself.

Totally disagree. I always put myself first. Do I sometimes make sacrifices for the one I love? Of course. But putting another person’s needs, wants, wishes, or well-being before your own? Putting a man before yourself is a very slippery slope.
