It’s debatable. I’ve given someone a second chance. But the wound that they have caused still has feeling. I can’t exactly trust them much like the first time around. Especially when affection of other people are involved. I’ve accepted this and loosen my grip. I just don’t want to feel that hurt again.

There are many things u can say for the excuse of a mistake… Just dn’t test the trust of someone just by saying it’s just a mistake for everything we do is a choice to make.

Thats not true, when you truly care for someone, yes, you accept their flaws, but not when they do things beyond the line, you will get angry at your other half for doing something wrong

Amen. Large mistakes maybe but small mistakes should be accepted. We are all human and will always make mistakes. True love will look past them, others are just looking for an easy escape.

It’s only a mistake when you weren’t aware someone was going to hurt and it was actually an accident. Draining a bank account isn’t a mistake. Cheating isn’t a mistake. Staying off of their medication and making you think you’re paranoid because they are still acting weird isn’t a mistake. Telling someone the wrong time on accident is a mistake. Most of the relationship issues we have today are not mistakes. They were decisions deliberately made and called a mistake so as not to face punishment or judgment.

The one thing my ex promised me would not happen ,happened! And it shattered my heart. It was not a mistake ,it was stupidly planned and never thought he would get caught. He put my life at risk and didn’t give a dam.

I Care deeply and love someone with all of my heart but he keeps pushing me away And making mistakes and trying to fix them. And I always fall back trying to be there but I’m at my breaking point of packing up and leaving because at some point you have to realize youre better than being treated like an option rather than being treated with respect.

I agree with Kelly V., at 58 years old, every time i give my heart some one i feel worthy of having in my life, i get pushed away. I do my best to be a nice guy and a true gentleman , it seems that’s not acceptable anymore. having a full time job and being able to contribute to the house and take care of all who live there is unacceptable too. i just don’t understand what the hell has happened to this world…

When someone continued to repeatedly hurt you by their mistakes…it’s more important to care for yourself and your own well-being. And sometimes that means walking away and not caring for that person any longer. Sometimes people are too toxic and you have to let them go

You can love someone and walk away! I was in a 6 year relationship with an emotionally and physically unavailable man. I gave my love, devotion and time, to be constantly disregarded, abused and disrespected. I will always have some kind of love for him. Hum … first your have to evaluate if it was really a mistake or decision …. there’s a lot of options to choose to avoid mistakes:::: and if he keeps doing it definitely is not a mistake .:::: and YES, my feelings will change and eventually he will kill my love with his stupidity

I personally feel this is debatable. Some mistakes are just unforgivable. Like someone dumping u for someone else. Than months later when it doesn’t work out they try to come back to u. On the inside you’ll always be numebr 2. Nothing can change that. Ya know.

Besides he is like doing repeatedly same mistakes from nearly 3 n half years now..I have no hope he can change for good ever again so I want to leave my true love..may be it’s rare but not worth this much tension

May not change your feelings completely but it should change your mind on being with them. Making the same mistakes over & over is no longer a mistake it’s a choice and they’ll continue to do it as long as you accept it-I had to learn the hard way ?

The first time may be a mistake or bad judgement call, and easy enough to move beyond. But continuing with the same “mistake” after a discussion of how it makes you feel is a choice that should not be ignored.
