I think if you r on social media and in a relationship it doesn’t matter unless you r hidden things from your partner like to someone else and trying to start something with them online , if I was in a relationship I wouldn’t kind if my man look at my stuff on social media.

I agree up to a point, in this day and of computers and smart phones it is much easier to start to go down that slippery slope. Social media allows somebody to say to themselves its not cheating it’s only the internet, but one things leads to another and when does somebody admit to themselves yes I’m cheating. By than it probably to late damage was done trust lost and love question.

Oh amen! This is the same argument as guns kill people! Responsibility! Accountability! Morals! Values! Ethics!

Yes but at the same time social media helps it along as they can still lie an be fake an dishonest on any social media. People who are looking for something on social media need to research what or who they are looking for thoroughly. Read everything and between the lines. Compare all info and details first. It’s amazing what you may discover and find out. So be careful using media sites

The fact that I even have a Facebook page ruined my last relationship. He had the email and password to my page. I even deactivated my page cause I wanted my relationship and he reactivated it. Just to argue. Guess what, good bye.

I disagree. I truly believe all three of these things ruins relationships for sure. Social media definitely provides ways for people to be dishonest and sneaky.

No social media and apps for ur phone to hide everything makes it easier to cheat. And so many cheating and sex apps. And yes no honest people left.

All of it does. People take the opportunity to say things on line they would never do in person. Nor would they talk about it but still blame you. Again poor communication is the issue.

Agreed. A couple can have a social media life, the distrust comes in when someone begins to lie about things or do things behind their mates back. Glad I never had that issue with my husband. We were open. I had his password, he had mine.

It’s all of them. Social media allows others into a personal life too easily for validation. Dishonesty and sneakiness ALWAYS ruined relationships before social media. Now people others can have their own agendas towards you without ever being face to face.

Unfortunately they are doing it on social media. Putting it all out there and then don’t want to be judge. Writing it or saying it, or agreeing with it, you are still siding with an opinion.. I do think social media has a part to play in the changing of the way we see relationships. However, lies and sneakiness destroys relationships more than anything else. Deceit in any manner ruins trust and it doesn’t matter how small it seems it has no place in successful relationships. If you can’t be honest and trustworthy then stay single. Simple! Don’t destroy someone else’s heart with your games.

If u have to go through ur phone and delete things. Then u should wonder if what you’re doing is right or not. All things come out. Eventually.

Social media is literally people talking about their opinions. Social Media I feel could persecute a relationship or glorify it. Just depends on if the people in a relationship listen or not.

Yes. Many arguments about this. My husband would say then lets take off the social media. And it’s like, it doesnt distract you, you have to control yourself into not always wanting to be on there. Notice your kids around you, notice your wife sitting next to you, trying to talk to you. Its all about self control.

YESSSSSS! My ex used to ban me from social media or insist on one, joint account….or having all my passwords. Come to find out…he was the dishonest one, sneaking around and cheating!

Meh, social media facilitates it like guns facilitate mass shootings. Without the guns, the carnage wouldn’t be possible. Without social media, the temptations, insecurities, stalking etc wouldn’t be possible. It’s a tool. Used incorrectly, dire consequences happen. Unfortunately humanity is a flawed thing.

I think social media gives ppl an outlet to be sneaky! Before social media, most ppl’s past stayed there. There was no access to everyone’s lives! Social media gives the ability to your past to present itself again; along with temptations that normally wouldn’t be there!! I think social media is a huge reason why some ppl have no idea how to be happy in their own lives, how the grass seems greener on the other side… things aren’t always what they seem on social media – I believe it’s breeding ground for dishonesty!
