Relationship Rules
We are in our late 40’s, it is hard work no matter what decade you meet and men willing to work at it will always be hard to find, but together 19, married 15 years and we love each other more than ever. Can’t say we haven’t gone to bed not speaking, but it’s been a while and sometimes a man needs time to cool down. Compromise, understanding, forgiveness and hard work on both sides is required.
i had 25 yrs but the drugs made him forget all yhose rules, never go to bed/part without saying i love u, ect, oh and most important, dont find little “friends” in your high ass state of mind and forget anything about ur life exce[pt that last few months of hell(that he created) and bail and quit!!!!!!!!!
I want a True love that my grandparents had before my grandma passed away a fee months ago. Was my grandma my grandpa’s first wife? No, but she was his last &like he said she was his queen. The love they had was beautiful, sweet, &real and what i want
That’s “old school” love aka real love. Not the kind of so called love these days where as soon as a man messes up some how the woman is quick to yell, “Get your s@!* and get the #@!* out!!!” There was none of that in old school love.
I have known my wife for 28 years and holding her hand along with an I love you . I will always open the door for her and give her my coat when it’s cold outside…..
True love exists for sure. Pick wisely. Don’t shop on line for a mate. If you are a Christian, hopefully your church has an active, vibrant youth group. If you’re an older Christian, join in all available unmarried singles activities. We’ve been married same as Patricia MacDonald. She too has great advise. We so rarily have disagreements because we chose wisely and went together for near 2 yrs and have very compatible families on both sides. God bless you singles.
One of my favorite things to ask people who have been together for 10+ years is “What is their secret”….You will never believe how many different ones you get, its beautiful to see how couples can make it work. I strive to be one of those couples. I take in everything each partner says. No relationship is easy, of course it is work, you can not just give up. You must go thru the good, the bad and of course the ugly xoxo
Or in my Grandma’s case, they met in their 60s which tells me that people suck until they’re old lol
Ngoc Dieu.. true love exists babe, but it’s not automatic. There’s no such thing as love at first sight crap! Love is endless sacrafices, compromises and communication.
Mmm would be nice now a days….that is so hard to do for some. Easier to find new sex and move on. Not commit to the one who truly loves you. Sad indeed. Lame as hell.
I remembered when I was used to working on a shop in handsworth wood (U K) their was a old couple shops regularly on that shop they always comes together for anything in any type of weather…..always smiles and talked a lot me and my mate ……it’s been a long time now but I still remember those faces.they also inspired me that true love exist.god bless them.
Don’t fool yourself.. Some of us met recently. LOL. My fiancé and I were having dinner and holding hands and a young man commented that he was so impressed that we were doing that, it inspired him to think real lasting love could be found. We hated to pop his bubble but had to politely tell him, we are on a date, we met a year ago and it took is many wrong relationships and growing up to become the people we are find the love we now have. So yes.. True love exists but it may take many attempts… Read more »

“True love is like a pillow
You can hug it when you’re in trouble
You can cry on it when you’re in pain
You can embrace it when you’re happy
So when you need true love
Buy a pillow”
that would be nice to find, but the way the world is now, just can’t trust anyone! I would love to have this one day, I guess I have to have hope…
My husband’s parents celebrated their 70th anniversary March 12, 2016. What a blessing to attend that celebration. They are our inspiration.
Incorrect, those women are just from a generation in which women did as they were told as it should be, now a days they just open up their legs for 50-100 different men a year wether or not thwy are in a relationship, women this day and age cheat three times more often than men, being strong independent women only translates to them changing what they want and who they want on a daily basis.
Yes true love exists…we have been married 46 years. Night before we married we agreed to disagree. Trust, communication and never break a promise is also our creed! Oh yes, divorce was never an option.
RIP true love. The person who are together are meant to be n those who are married, are also meant to be together. The only diff is dat some are together in love before marriage n same aftr marriage n others starts to love their mate after their marriage as they dun have an option to love other person.
Some of the posts on here make me realise why some people are single.
You need trust and respect to stay together. Cheating is not an option and if you’re in love you work at it.
One day when were all old and can barely get around we can still look at each other with the same love that we had from the first time we met. I want that ! Grow old with someone, experience life with someone. Travel the world and know Im doing it with a man that will never give up on me.
Yeah, but those are old people, they fell in love in a time when gold diggers, narcissists, sadists, feminists, misandrists, misogynists, women beaters, selfishness, and etc. Were very rare… it was still socially acceptable for the man to open doors, pay for everything, pull chairs out, not cheat, get married, and be all around romantic. And it was still socially acceptable for women to be single until they found someone decent that they actually were in love with, cook, clean, not cheat, and not have a career, these circumstances helped to make it so that people actually chose wiser, and… Read more »
I have been married to my beautiful wife for 47 years. Women then and today are looking for a real man not a metro sexual sissy that’s afraid to cook, clean, change a diaper, slow dance and love his wife unconditionally.
Ladies don’t settle for these sackless pussy’s hold out for a real man, there is still a bunch of us out there.?
