Appreciation always goes a long long way, male or female, if they know you love, respect and value them, it makes the relationship so much stronger, but it has to be equal and both have to work at it. I always try to make a point of showing and telling my partner that I appreciate what he does and that I love who he is, there’s nothing worse than feeling as though you’re being taken for granted and invisible to them

Nothing is wasted time or mistakes. Everything happens for a reason and people change. In some cases they have always been a disrespectful inconsiderate prick, you were just too in love to see it for what it was. Everything comes to light eventually and if it’s not meant to be let it go. No point in making yourself miserable living like that. Look at it as lessons learned. Gives you clarity on what you really want and when you figure that out you won’t settle for anything less.
