Interesting post. My wife didn’t “go all the way” until after we got married. I’m not ashamed. It was really tough obviously, especially when we were engaged, but we made it. I’m actually convinced our relationship is much stronger as a result. Sorry so many of you guys are having trouble.

Meeting men now days, in my experience, is a big disappointment. I’m waiting and looking to find the right man for me… Is taking me soooo long… Most man I have met are nothing but players… They don’t want the smart, pretty, independent, honest, confident, etc … woman they just want to hook up… At least that’s been my experience.. Introduce me to a good man if you guys are aware of one 😉

And sex. They want that and sex. Cuz I want sex. Lots of it. Good, honest faithful sex. But with the person who loves only me.

All guys want sex… But some actually want it to be meaningful with that one person for the rest of their life.

This is why I celebrated my first year of celibacy (by choice) yesterday. The next man who gets sex from me will be because he put a ring on it, after a good long time of dating and getting to know each other well. It’s not easy, but it’s worth waiting for! (And so am I!) 🙂

I fear some men think they want a real relationship until they realize what that means, what it actually requires of them, and the work involved. Relationships do not just happen. They are built and require constant care to remain strong and growing. Sometimes things will be easy and happy-go-lucky, but there will be times of stress, difficulties, and trouble. Both sides must learn to communicate, compromise, and work together, being open and honest, deciding whether they can or should go on together or not, while being sure they really tried before calling it quits.

My experience and perspective is these type of BOYS are ruining women like me and the GIRLS who behave like this are ruining men. Theirs too many of us looking for love. Stop all the games already. A great relationship starts as friends. Give yourselves time to learn and trust before giving yourself to everyone.

I think it’s because of how many people have been played. I’m thinking these dating games going around are a direct result of previous mistrust. And it’s refocused and recycled with each new attempt. Making the next potential lover’s chances significantly harder to achieve. It’s a whole other level of cock-block.

And yet some men who want real relationships will still hurt you because they’re insecure and stubborn.

A relationship based on sex will likely never last. Eventually, libido wanes, sex begins to take a back seat. Companionship and conversation take precedence. If the sex was all you really had in common, there will be little to nothing left to sustain the relationship. Find someone you genuinely like, who you can converse with, who likes some of the same things you do. Someone you enjoy spending time with even when sex is not involved. That is a person you will stay with.
