And sometimes not even all the love, faithfulness and patience is enough. They are what they are and they’ll do what they want anyways with no regards to your feelings. No matter how strong a love you have for them, they may never change and eventually that love fades away. The words of love they speak don’t seem to have the same meaning or effect anymore. Once you’ve been hurt and betrayed it’s hard to believe and trust again, even if you’re desperately trying to hold on and salvage something that you know could be so beautiful.

But don’t let them treat you badly either!

That’s what I thought would happen… But it never did for me. I stayed with someone 5 1/2 years in a one-sided relationship. Some people just don’t have what it takes, and maybe never will. Let’s be realistic…. Don’t waste time on things or invest time in someone with never any return. They’ll keep taking and not giving if you let them.
