TRUTH!!!! Nowadays, people are consumed by technology i.e. cell phones, iPad/tablets, computers and they don’t realize that their attention is drawn away from what’s important. Therefore it puts a strain on the relationship, partner etc. There’s no longer Q-time, date night, intimacy….The relationship is bound to fail!

Very true! Deception isn’t just lying, it also includes cheating and lying by omission–misrepresenting your true feelings. Also, intimacy doesn’t only refer to sex.

When I feel I’m being lied to I don’t say anything at first…I wait and see if you think I’m that dumb to keep going and going…and then I walk away no tears no fight in just disappear.

if it took 16 yrs. to build and only 3 weeks to destroy, then it’s more than a deception it was down right disrespectful, ugly and painful. Self-centered individuals only think about them not the harm they caused to so many people.

Just not talking about something that is bothering you can lead to lose of intimacy. Even if it’s not about you. Anytime you leave your partner out of things like that it puts a wedge into your relationship

Intimacy: closeness, togetherness, affinity, rapport, attachment, familiarity, friendliness, friendship, amity, affection, warmth, confidence…..Not always sexual.

Intimacy is not only sex people! Secrets…sneaking around…withholding what your partner needs…THAT destroys any chance for intimancy. Deception kills love. And if you lie…delete message … or even portray yourself to be something you are not…that is deception

Right! Intimacy doesn’t always translate into sex. But yeah I’ve learned once all intimacy is gone so is the relationship.

Physicalness is a major part of it though, people are missing out if they arent cuddling or holding one anothe whenever

This is true and when you lose trust.. it is hard to have intimacy.. it is stressed and uncomfortable yet you try so hard for it to be perfect like it once was…

You could be married to your Best Friend. But if you lose the intimacy not just sex… The cuddling, holding and just laying side by side. You will just become Roommates! I guess some can live happily ever after with that type of relationship… But come on at some point most are going to need the whole Marriage package they signed up for.

Being turned down every time you try destroys it to. You just get tired of trying and being the only one!

Intimacy shouldn’t be the one thing that keeps you two together . It should be the little things that bring you closer .
