Being honest doesn’t get you off the hook. If you cheat and tell them it’s still a big blow to the relationship. The other person might not be able to get over it, or be able to trust in you again. The trust is still broken. This is one example, but I’m sure there are others.

yes, but i believe “Trust and Respect” are the fundamentals of any type of relationships.

Sometimes liars try to say they only lie for fear of how their partner will react to the truth… Well, if they’re not reacting the way you want maybe it’s because they don’t trust you due to all the previous lies you’ve told. People are more understanding when you are always truthful and if you don’t want to have to lie don’t do the thing that you can’t be honest about later.

If you can’t be honest, just don’t speak … To anyone. Lies hurt everyone, in any kind of relationship, not just romantic ones 🙁
