That’s what ended my 5 year marriage you get tired of Being the only one trying, but they start appreciating when its to late and your far gone.

I do this far too often for other ppl but when asked in return it always seems to be a problem!!!!

A.K.A being taken for granted.. That’s why selfless people suffer so much.

There’s a massive difference between expectation and being taken for granted. Maybe we need to express what we expect in our own actions, rather than judge others for not meeting our expectations. Sometimes we need to tell the other person our expectations, and accept them when they fail us… for we too are falable and fail to meet the expectations of others too. Doesn’t make us, nor the other person bad people. Makes us human

If you do this too much you start wondering if people deserve your kindness and your love, and before you know it you can become too calculated where you once were bountifully generous. I suppose there’s a fine line, and no doubt you don’t want to be someone’s doormat either. There’s a happy balance somewhere.
