Not when your driving… It can wait
that’s stupid
This is very immature. I’m sure most people would prefer a text back with a thoughtful answer instead of a half ass one. Considering most people have a job and drive a vehicle. Immediately isn’t always an option, unless you want a one word response.
Even if you died in a tragic car accident? Or got your phone stolen?
Then you hit another car.
I agree
Ya we arent texting for the hell of it! But yes unless your driving!
Texts don’t have to be punctual. I mean, what if you’re in a situation where you end up seeing the text but can’t reply at the moment, like when you’re driving or working? As long as I get a reply, it’s fine with me. It’s those people that completely ignore texts altogether that get to me. Especially when your phone records when they see your message (ex: /seen 5:30 PM) and you know they’re ignoring you. It’s rude to me, though if course there are some exceptions to when it’s okay to ignore a text, if it’s someone extremely abnoxious… Read more »
It’s so rude to expect someone to answer right away.
How about ppl getting over themselves gain some self esteem, and not trying to be control freaks. just cause you’re sitting around bored, or your job allows you to txt while working doesn’t mean it’s the same for the other person. We all have lives, separate, individual lives… get over it. Stop being clingy needy and….annoying. I send a txt when I have a question/comment that doesn’t need an immediate response. If it’s that important I will call. Txting is supposed to be a casual way to keep in touch with someone… Contrary to popular belief you don’t ‘get to… Read more »
I liked growing up when we didn’t have the technology that we have now. We didn’t have cell phones, let alone phones not connected to the wall. ( Damn, you knew everyone could hear your conversation in the house too. LOL) And to be honest, I know I was a lot happier I didn’t have someone calling or texting me asking me why I didn’t reply yet. There is more to life than texting. Sorry, had to throw my opinion out there. This generation doesn’t talk to each other, they text. Look around. At restaurants, people sit there with their… Read more »
As soon as it’s read, yes. However, the majority of society assumes that everyone has their cell phones glued to the palms of their hands and will get upset if a reply back doesn’t happen right away.
If it’s an emergency or something you really need to talk about call! If someone doesn’t answer leave a voice mail to show said urgency and I’m sure they’ll get right back to you. We’re a society of convenience and have evolved with less and less patience as time goes by. Shame.
They said ” AS SOON AS THEY’RE READ” so I agree, it doesn’t hurt to say ” Babe Im busy now ttyl”
Don’t text me something that requires immediate response. Call me. My time is just as valuable as yours, and if I’m doing something, then your text can wait. It’s this ridiculous attitude that has fueled the lunacy of people refusing to put their phones down while driving. SMH
As soon as you can works for me… They might be working or driving
How about, I’ll text back if and when I want to. I’m not at everyone’s beck and call just because I have a cell phone.
How about as soon as possible..to say you have to respond as soon as you read it is a ridiculous expectation. I had a guy txt me. I had forgotten my phone @ home & was working anyways, which he knew. It was some stupid shit like ‘how’s your day going’ nothing that required an immediate response even if I did have my phone. I didn’t respond w/in 2 hrs he started msg me on Facebook asking if I thought I was too good to respond to his msg….WTF. CONTROL issues. Stopped talking to him after that as I thought… Read more »
Omg. Please, get a life. If its that damn important pick up the phone and call the person.
Unless your driving
Dislike…. and disagree. I text back when I get to it. I am NOT glued to my phone. The whole reason why text messages are convenient is to tell someone something an they can respond when they get to it so one doesn’t have to wait until the other answers the phone or checks voicemail. Get a clue people!!!!!!
Ain’t nobody got time for that. Respond in a timely manner at least. But sometimes people forget. It happens!
Nah, I just think it’s RUDE!
If it’s so important, why not CALL and talk to the person. People shouldn’t assume the other person has the phone in their hand to answer a text. Relationships need real communication. TRY TALKING TO EACH OTHER!!!
