I’ve had a man do it all to keep me around but once I stayed, he gave up the act.
My new guy doesn’t put me on a pedestal and I love that he doesn’t. He has self-respect and boundaries. I know he loves me because he shows me every day, but there’s no act. No jumping through hoops.

I think its a mutual understanding when you are in a realtionship. If you always maken your significant other obey you than its not love its just a one way relationship.

Sorry, have to disagree. If he would do anything, then he would simply be a “yes” man. If he would do anything for you, he would be willing to cross ethical and moral boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed. That isn’t love that is infatuation (loss of self in another). There are limitations in real love. You don’t become* something you are not. *This however doesn’t mean you can’t grow and change together. A real man isn’t a puppy looking for attention. A real man honors his woman but doesn’t put up with constant complaining/controlling behavior. Trust me there’s no end to that sort of woman OR man.

And if a woman is in love with a man she does whatever it takes to please and keep that man. Works both ways. But either way…..its your actions that you know you are doing that keeps that love or destroys it.
