Not always….when you are purposeful to forget/replace those feelings/memories with better ones/new ones, what happened in the past is eventually left in the past/forgotten. It is harder to forget, good or bad, depending on the intensity/value you place on that relationship. For me, however, details are easier to forget than how the person made me feel…but eventually those feelings fade too.
