I’m not sure I agree with this. Showing affection is nice (I’m not talking about PDA’s). I love someone yet people here on FB don’t really need to know. I think relationships are special and should be between two people. Close friends and family members will know when you’re with someone special.

If you can’t let others know who you are with, then you are hiding something. The details don’t have to be told, but your relationship should be known by everyone or it gives the wrong message to certain people.

This seems implausible. What if you do not want your partner or child, for example, to be lynched, or murdered, or to ‘out’ them for example? What if they are not comfortable being shown affection in front of others? But if it’s saying, Being in love with someone means not being ashamed to be in love with them… well, even here, I suspect you can be in love and know them to be bad. Moral to draw there is maybe: This is not the kind of love to be embraced or withstood.
