Just because it didn’t work out doesnt mean that you weren’t the best thing that happened to them. It doesn’t mean that they weren’t true on their words. It could be something you did, they did, or both of you did (or didn’t do) that caused it to end. Just because you’re the best thing that’s happened to someone doesn’t mean things will automatically last forever.

My ex fiance told me that. Then i left him bc he was 7 yrs older than me and i wasnt ready to play house. Still the best most adventurous boyfriend ever. He now has two kids with someone else and lives in tennessee. I miss those hazel eyes and his laid back attitude.

My man has started saying this several times daily. It took a while for me to appreciate but now its such an amazing thing to say to the one you love. And he is truly my best. We all need love that makes us feel amazing.
