I have met a few I would drive that long just to see but none that would do that for me, most won’t even drive 30 minutes. I learned it isn’t me, it’s definitely them.

Many people don’t appreciate that type of gesture anymore. That and many are too selfish to do that for someone other than themselves.

It’s very difficult to appreciate what you have. After a point you take things granted, you think this is how things are. Once you lose it and go through another situation you suddenly realise how good the old situation was. Alas, it is too late by then.

I mean I’d love but to spend 10 hours on the road only for one hour pretty certain usually you find someone local unless you meet online? In 2003 I was getting ready for deployment and I really wanted to say goodbye to my wife so, I drove for 5 hours one way to get a hug, kiss, and a goodbye. We’re divorced now but I still love her and would do it all over again but without the PTSD!

You know, idk know if this applies for men or women doing the distance. I drove the 2-5 hours for someone. Just to make it easy on them because of the job they have and besides I liked the area they lived in. It didn’t turn out so well. Awkward even. I did that many time atleast once a week for almost 2 years .I had travelled 4000 miles to see my special one and once in winter very cold night when I reach there to see her she was opend her legs for other guy she cheat on me .some people if they love deeply by heart its not must they drive so long .and some people like me had that many time and finally caught her she is cheating since long time ago .sad

I drove 9 hours to Vegas from Albuquerque once a month for six months for a relationship and apparently he did not subscribe to this philosophy… He cheated with some skank that lived there. Apparently a bird in hand was what he subscribed to…

Haha me and my ex exactly. Now she has my son and won’t even let me see him. How times have changed. 5 hours was nothing to be next to her for 1.

My Dad used to drive 6 hours round trip on his day off to have lunch and dinner with me when I got off work at the end of the day. I’ll never forget that. Especially now that he’s gone. Miss him so much!

My BF, come to home after work, 2hours later leave the house and drive more than 4hours in high speed to get train, then sit in the train for another 4 hours to reached Int’l Airport. Waiting for boarding & flight 19hours to come to my country only to meet me. And..after same long journey back to his country, He go straight to work full day. Can’t imagine how tired it was.
