For fourteen years I’ve been in love with a guy who, in the last 6 months, decided to move overseas without saying goodbye, then out of nowhere send me a messaging to say he missed me; despite how many times he reminded me that “we were fighting a losing battle”. ?

So sad that I was proven right tonight. Illusions are easier found. And once again found you have only time to decipher the truth. Time can be a bitch and a blessing.

It’s not easy sometimes, but I believe it can still be done. Don’t choose a partner just for their looks, or how much fun they are at parties. Find one who shares your outlook on life, your goals, and your values. Find a life partner. I failed the first time, but learned. My forever wife and I are now going on 40 years and counting.

Nah….I’d rather be in my own company for the rest of my life then to feel the devastation, heartbreak & hurt again.

I’m not saying ours is the best. It may even be considered “toxic” at times BUT, we get it ALL out. Right or wrong, we apologize then move on.
I know people in relationships that are extremely polite to each other. Sad part is, I hear the women ripping their men apart behind their back. They think we are wrong but at least we’re honest. It may come out in a screaming match but in the end we’re ok.
Marriage is hard work.
