the only times my ex contacts me is when things aren’t going well in “paradise” and/or he just feels like hassling/intimidating me. whatever the reason, being nice is appreciated but it’s too late now – he made his choice.

That’s not true. I haven’t tried to replace him at all. I love him. I miss him. I miss everything with him. I would text him or message him so he knows that.
Exes aren’t always exes for a bad reason. Sometimes, you’re meant to be and need to fall apart just to realize how great you are together.

That’s not true. I love him and I miss him, I haven’t tried to replace him at all and I never will. Forever means forever.. He’s the one for me and I know it.. Ugh. No. You can share a relationship with people after you break up and come to the mutual realization; you’re just not good together as a partnership. But still care about one another. That’s not entirely true. Not every relationship is ended by a cheating partner. Sometimes things just don’t work out at the time and you need time apart to figure things out. Doesn’t mean you don’t miss them.
