Not very common, to find men capable of exercising such maturity, respect and compassion. Not in my experiences anyway. Optimistic tho, that I’ll be fortunate enough to meet another one in my lifetime.

I got told I was lecturing. If you can’t talk to your partner who can you talk to? I felt so hurt so many times, like my thoughts and feelings didn’t matter. After a few times I felt like I had to walk on eggshells. That’s not how a relationship is supposed to be like.

Anyone who’s been in a long-term relationship knows this is garbage. You can shut up, listen and be understanding as much as humanly possible. Odds are, a few days or weeks later, you’ll hear the exact same thing. I think it’s even more insulting to keep pushing this “everything you do is wrong. I thought this was just respect? I always tell the woman in my life to feel free to be who they truly are and express themselves fully, at least when they are with me.
