Relationship Rules
SoMe people are getting this very wrong. It doesn’t mean that you have to change urself for sum1 else, what it simply means is when ur partner does certain things that are toxic to your relationship as they would be in the next and affect your happiness and peace of mind and you have askd them to change their behaviour repeatedly and still they don’t then it clearly means that there is no respect. No respect for u as a human being, partner nd definitely no respect for your feelings either.
Exactly! !
love and respect is what you do every day,,, every day…. stay close talk about it,, try to understand each others thoughts and feelings.. i think the best time is when you are just kying in bed close to each other .. maybe cuddling, A GREAT TIME,,, TO EXSPESS WHAT YOU FEEL…… LOVE WILL FIND AN ANSWER
Very true
And how respectful are u to ask someone to change them self to fit you
On that logic shouldn’t u automatically change ur self to fit them that would be the respectful thing to do right m
I want a boyfriend who respects me no matter what it is and treat me right and makes me feel like they deserve to be with me.
This applies to all relationships. Not only romantic connections.
Learned that one
Just because someone doesn’t/can’t change something about themselves because you tell them to, doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t respect you. I not only disagree with this one, but I think it may even have the potential to offend. Imagine telling your partner that you felt jealous and insecure because they spoke with people of a certain gender, for example. They continue to speak with friends and colleagues of that gender, despite your (unreasonable) insecurity and you conclude that they don’t respect you. This is nonsense.
So what if the thing they want I to change is something u have been sense before u met this person. An they accepted you even tho they didn’t like it then once they found out u care about them and their feelings. They use that fact to manipulate you and Chang u saying that now if u don’t they are leaving u bc u don’t respect them
And seems it comes from pages like this because they red post like this an use it to justify there actions and overreaction feelings that developed based on it
So in dis situation wht should we do ??
relationships should be smooth. its that easy
I would say if you choose to keep telling someone over and over how you feel you don’t respect yourself!!!!!stop being a whinny butt, either except their behavior
Or move on!! It’s a big world out there and there are plenty of fish!!!You don’t have to settle for the first person who says they like you!!!
I don’t agree with this one. You can’t expect others to change for you.
If I tell someone repeatedly the same exact thing about how I feel and they expect me to change to suit them, I understand that they don’t respect me.
Some can talk to u anyhow not realising how its gonna hurt u n it has been repeating constantly Becos there is no respect. In this case the best thing is to leave that relationship n move on no matter who he or she may be
So not letting somebody else’s insecurities dictate my life is disrespectful? What’s that tell you about yourself? Maybe people should try getting into relationships with somebody without thinking you have some innate right to make that person live the life you want for them.
I love how you’re told it’s your fault you feel that way. *note the heavy sarcasm.
Time to say goodbye to any relationship you aren’t respected in!
Mmmm hmmm.. Don’t be super anal but for the big things the other partner is uncomfortable about, change is in order. Love =compromise
Without respect there’s nothing in a relationship
It’s not about changing a person, it’s about changing something they keep doing when you asked them not to. Things you find disrespectful.
You tell them once shame on them you have to tell them a 2nd time shame on you and if you last to a 3rd time move the hell on..they will not change
without respect theres no relationship
Or when you tell them something hurts your feelings and they continue to do it. so you start becoming jealous and all of a sudden it’s my fault you don’t care if something hurts my feelings.
