Sounds like my ex. He used to lie about the most dumbest things ever and I never understood why. He would go in to telling the truth, and then his truth would be another lie.

If your partner tells you something that they did not have to, because they will not lie to you. Then that is when you should hold on tighter then before, and never let them go.

its a good rule, but instead of getting rid of your partner….maybe sit back and ask yourself why you think you need to lie. because there are different levels of lying. cheating one thing, not telling the truth on how much your new purse cost, entirely different….

I disagree. My husband tried his hardest to bake me something one time and it tasted horrible. But he was in the kitchen for hours!!! And plus the first thing he said was “I know it’s bad.” I don’t care what anyone thinks. I’d lie again in a heartbeat just to see that smile.

A lie is never acceptable, truth can be painful but it can also be informative or helpful to the situation at hand

If any of you become truly heartbroken from any type of lie, it will be hard for you to find your so called “perfect one”. There are minor lies, such as your partner lying about an embarrassing habit s/he may have, keeping it from you from fear of judgement or ridicule, slight or otherwise. Lying is one of the most damaging act you can do in a relationship. You can never completely trust that person again.

Telling the truth requires bravery. Coward liars should avoid relationships until they can handle the consequences of truth.

That’s not what it means. It means when u feel u have to lie to keep your partner from getting upset or jealous. You feel like u have to lie to keep peace. Means its time to let them go.
