Molly, there’s nothing wrong with doing it as a family. He didn’t say to make it a family thing every time. I agree, adult time is necessary for a healthy relationship. However bonding time is more important to a family. We don’t give our kids enough “unplugged” attention these days.

I do this with my boyfriend all the time. There doesn’t have to be money involved for it to be a date. What makes a date is two people having fun together and enjoying each others company with many memorable moments. 🙂
