I believe this goes both ways. Good men get hurt too and can have walls up too. I’d much rather take time getting to know each and not jump into anything only gaining another broken heart. I’m being much more selective these days.

Wow couldn’t have said that any better. A hard lesson I learned that I will carry from here on is… When a woman needs her space, always give her room to breathe or you will only overwhelm her and push her away even more.

And sometimes the guy does all of that and she walks away for a reason she refuses to tell him. People need to be honest in a relationship, even when ending it. It might hurt to hear the real reason however it is better then leaving the other person wondering forever what happened.

Always fight for what you believe and want and love. And always see things from the other point of view. This says alot. Very true statement here.. but guys can be hurt as well and be the same as this statement claims, either way don’t play games if someone really opens up to the other… as a significant other the worst thing you can do is turn your back or play the game and act like you care about someone’s feelings but deep down you’ve already checked out of the relationship.. just an observation…

I am going through this right now. Sometimes men do the same thing because of the way woman from his past has made him feel.

It’s about respect for each other, recognising signs and above all showing you both love and care. If that means taking a back seat for short while then so be it. Relationships need working on as a team and not being taken for granted. A compliment well placed by either partner goes a long way as well. Tell him/her you love them regularly, it’s reassurance even if it’s not really needed. The little things are important, say them and do them.

August yes you can be that open to a man, you didn’t have the right one who understand what you was dealing with. With that’s said take it slow and let him know what you are dealing with and what you will not deal with again in your next relationship. Women have to realize not all men are the same.
