Or with someone who doesn’t interrupt every time you try to express a thought. That is sooooooooo annoying. It makes it seem as if what you have to say is of no importance to them, no matter what it is.

Scott Newton thank you for always being respectful and making me feel like I am a million times more important than your phone. ?

I’m not old fashion, but I find it very rude and ignorant for someone to be looking at their phone when I’m talking to them.
For me to do the same, it would have to be a very important text, and then I would tell the person, one moment this is very important.

They shouldn’t be on their phone in the first place if they are with you … We lived without smart phones in the past, we can now.

Or, be with someone that makes you WANT to put down your phone and ignore it, because they have that much of your attention.

If someone is on there phone instead of listening to you. They are showing no courtesy, empathy and respect for you so they are not worthy of your time so tell them to f××k off.

What if i held my phone in one hand and asked the exact same question and listened? Not sure there is a difference!

Chance would be a fine thing. Didn’t use my phone much until I got sick of sitting there like an idiot ? it makes life damn lonely

Or be with someone who picks up their phone and listens to you. Because distance is still a thing for many people.
Phone isn’t an evil thing if you learn to use it correctly. 🙂

Not only be on their phone while your talking but then interrupt you with some bs they saw while scrolling on fb while you were talking ? n then people wonder why theres so many people that just dont bother dating anymore i could go see crap on facebook anytime how ever life could take that person talking to you away at any given point n youd then wish to hear their voice just one more time enjoy the people in your life because they arent there forever..

Better yet, just be with someone who demonstrates genuine interest in how your day went! Maybe someone on the phone.

Ive dated a cple of ppl who are far too attached to their phones. So….rude….and….frustrating! Surely their time with you has a higher priority over a fb status or hunting video.. Or perhaps I’m just old fashioned…Aaaah nope. It’s about integrity.

Honestly, this is becoming more and more impossible ?. Even if they put down the phone, they aren’t paying attention to your words. Because they are so distracted of the fact that they can’t look at their phone. Seen it. Lol.

Brian Perry I think this is so important and I seriously love that we aren’t glued to our phones(unless it’s to take pictures of our trips, reasonable reason). I love that we can have small talk or have long conversations. The serious kind or the laugh our ass off kind. I think once that starts, I believe that’s a indicator that people are bored with each other in a relationship or the start of it. Or that there priorities are else where. Now I’m not saying every time. Sometimes we are in bed and we do nightly checks, or while… Read more »

* Be with someone whose phone you are not even sure how it looks like. They just hide it into their pocket when they see you approach and don’t touch it until you leave.

Sounds fair. Maybe the phone is an escape from life?

I wonder about the relationships where a partner does not hold themselves accountable and solely blames the other person when things don’t go well? What about the relationships where a partner refuses to seek help for themselves and places the burden solely on the shoulders of the other person? What about the relationships where a partner does not tell the entire truth to their friends to avoid being accountable and appearing as part of the problem? What about those relationships?

Brandon, thank you for listening to me, letting me vent even though I don’t do it a lot. I appreciate the times you consider I may have something on my mind. You may not always ask, but I do notice you try to connect in different ways.

Good luck, I know some people who never put it down, it’s fun to stop mid sentence and see how long it takes them to notice, or say some random word in the middle and see if they notice

Be with someone who’s respectful enough to not be so miserably insecure they demand you stop what you doing to validate their own self esteem with another tired recounting of the trivial events of their day. Better yet…. you can TEXT someone how your day went

Theres no way id be with someone that doesnt listen to me. I only like people that show interest in me. And then i will back.

Yeah, if your partner doesn’t appreciate you, then they are not worth being with. Let em be someone else’s heartache! Most girls are more in love with there phone than there boyfriend these days anyhow.
