Imagine being able to wake Gavin up at midnight to get in the car and end up at the beach at 2 am to lay and look at the stars and listen to the waves. Chance James

Lucky me I can do all that without opening the windows and can see the water whilst laying down on my bed. I am so blessed to live where I do and I count those blessings every single day of my life.

Heading to the saalt air, water i miss, and will bring in my heart my mothers favorite poem💛💚💜 John F. Kennedy “I really don’t know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it’s because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it’s because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have… Read more »

I live near the coast , I used to live right next to the beach and had this an must admit I hated it I prefer the sound of little chirping birds over the squawking sound of (evil) seagulls . But that’s my personal preference I’ve live near the sea my whole life but I’m lucky because I live near hills and fields and a short drive to mountains (Wales UK ) so I’ve always been spoilt for choice , I’d never live in a city I’m a country girl through an through

It just so happens that I’m lying out on the balcony on the beach in a t-shirt and shorts, listening to the waves right now! Got a sunburn at the pool, then saw 2 weddings on the beach. Tomorrow I’m going to watch the speed boats race. Life is good!!! 😀

Yea.. I live in front of the ocean.. It all sounds great.. Until your electronics only last a few months from the sea breeze.. And all the furniture in the house feels wet.. Everything rusts… And nothing ever stays clean for more than a day… I miss the mountains

I do and it is the perfect world – sleep like a baby with the rolling surf noises and the freedom the ocean creates! Not to mention the sea life a cute seal swam right up to me today! 😋 Sydney has the best beaches!

Lol I live on an island and it’s really not all that poetic. I grimaced in horror at the thought of what the electric bill would be and how hot inside it would get if you fell asleep by the window here. Not to mention Mosquitos jesus

My dream life…in Maine. Crazy with the cold weather but, I do not care. Dreams…if we cannot have our dreams; what can we have?
Kendra, is my above sentence punctuated correctly? 🙂

When I was a child and we made our yearly trip to the beach, my greatest joy was waking up to the sound of the waves. I always thought I would live near the beach when I grew up.

I was very fortunate to have been brought up next to the sea , and yes it was lovely to hear the waves lapping as one drifted off to sleep ; you could also see the beams of light from the lighthouse down the road. A very happy time; didn’t have a lot of money but we had plenty of fun teasing Jean.

Gary and I lived in California in a studio apartment with just a street separating the building from the sand, beach, ocean waves and gorgeous sunsets!
The sound of the waves was constant of course, and was loud – many times it made sleep hard to get!

I must go down to the sea again
The beautiful sea and the sky
I left my shoes and socks there
I wonder if they’re dry?
