“I got so kilig when my crush talked to me, my face might’ve been all red”, as a sentence, can give a little context to the word, although it is more understable when used in Filipino. Equivalent to “feeling giddy inside” or having “butterflies in your stomach” when the person who makes your IQ negative, the one you are pining for, comes around.

Everybody feels “kilig” regardless of where you’re from.
