My anxiety is the amount of “what ifs” that go through my mind every second. It’s not about me really, it’s everyone else, and everything else which make me very conscious of every aspect of myself. It’s feeling so powerless that my heart races, my palms get all sweaty, my head starts boiling, I can’t breathe, can’t focus, can’t see until I calm myself down. It’s planning a trip for 2months from now but not being able to sleep because I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s cancelling that same trip because all the “what ifs” made me so tired… Read more »

And other people. What if the bus driver fucks up and gets me in to a collision and gets me killed. What if the pilot fucks up and crashes and lands on my damn head? What if God gets mad and he decides today is a beautiful day for an earthquake, tornado, tsunami, landslide, huge sinkhole? Even tho none of that shit has happened here, you never know. Or the polar caps melt in one day, I know it sounds insane but I don’t grasp the full concept of global warming so it may just happen. Or I may trip… Read more »

If there are amputees that can joke about missing limbs, people with anxiety can laugh at a silly little joke like this one. Don’t have to get all “it’s so much worse!”, “my anxiety is THIS bad!”. I feel like you anxious people are some of the biggest attention seekers lol. “Feel bad for me.”. It’s a joke not a dick, don’t take it so hard. Half of you are like “anxiety is not conspiracy theories!” and then go on to list for instances that could be comparable to a self made conspiracy theory, proving the joke.

False. Stop minimizing mental illness. I am willing to bet people who TRULY struggle or have struggled with debilitating anxiety would also disagree with this.

Wrong! Anxiety is meeting someone nice and they give you a little more attention than you are used to and you clam up you freeze you worry on the inside because some part of you tells you that you are not good enough for this person to be speaking to you. Anxiety is knowing there is someone waiting on line behind you and because you cant count out your money fast enough or because your card declined you begin to panick that they may all be mad at you and you need to hurry up and get the hell out… Read more »

The experience of anxiety is different for everyone and its many colors blur within this simple one line post. It’s not minimizing to find this humorous. It’s peaceful. Let go, take the joke, because everyone lives their own theory
