Oh yes, by all means, stay silent. Play the victim and be the martyr. 🙄 God forbid you would express yourself and be authentic. What you allow will continue.

Not always … I might just be really high or wishing you would leave

Expecting people to read your mind huh. Perfect strategy.

Not with all of us, though. I’m a bit of an Introvert and being silent is actually my default mode. It usually just means I’m daydreaming. So no need to get all nervous. 😀

Not ‘breaking point’… maybe ‘boiling point’ is more accurate. idk. Semantics.

Men do this to.
When people go silent & distant it is a sign something is wrong but not necessarily with a relationship but someone at odds with the world.
Patience & understanding is required.
Communication dispels the misconceptions.

Men are not mind readers and in my experience this is one of the characteristics that women do and men strongly dislike. If you want something, if you are feeling a certain way or you are hurt or your excited about your Barbie dream house then open your mouth and tell them!!!

… OR she just enjoys the Moment. There are so many meanings for silence, don’t make it one.

Naw… Silence is cruel and unusual punishment.. It hurts way more.. Words cuts deep, but silence is deafening

Or I’m just like… hanging out. Chillin’. I’m good.

Silence does not display the true nature of her thoughts. Can silence solve problems?

Krickett Bishop when you ask me when I’m silent and not singing in the car.. thank you for making me talk through my thoughts and feelings!

No. Silent treatment for an extended period is abuse. The end.

Yes, but not all the time. By the way, in pain maybe but not necessarily that she’s at the verge. Sometimes she just also want to have break from all the chaos or just simply loving the quietness.

What a poetic way to put into words; the Chaos that my mind becomes, when I’m swallow by the silence.

Truely is amazing when people think they know what’s going on, or assumes they know how you are doing. It’s easier to say what people want to hear.

I come to word porn for inspiration and quotes I related to. With it being Mental Health Awareness month, if this you. I am here for you to listen and hold your hand in this time of darkness.

Don’t give a loved one the silent treatment. Talk to them.

I’m not a big talker, I mostly stay quiet and to myself. When I get pushed too far is when someone gonna hear about it. But also there’s that quiet time that builds up to the explosion.. good luck figuring out which one it is 😉

generalized assumption and simply false. sometimes all has been said and women simply have nothing more to add hence the silence..or maybe there could still be so much to be said, but without any purpose really so women simply choose to remain silent or maybe they are just tired and simply don’t feel like talking anymore or maybe they simply don’t give a shit anymore…or simply all of the above all at once

Reason why we should not be too quick to react when someone prefers to stay silent. She is hurting inside, give her space to gather strength and scream. Smile.

I chose silence for not hurting each other’s feeling much more.

Then why don’t she open up her mouth and communicate that so that we would know when she needs help?! You know what they say about assumptions!!!!
