True, as a teenager it was learned that ‘not give a shit’ was the coolest thing I could do.
Born in the eighties so that was around mid nineties/millenial.
Anyway, I needed to learn how to show that i’d cared later…

I think you’ll find that millennials and gen z care plenty. After all they’re clearing up the mess that boomers and gen X made.

I learned, a long time ago, that, most of the time, if you replace the word “cool” with “stupid”, you get a more accurate statement.

I dont know about that. Previous generations destroyed this planet and didnt care. The younger generations care more about conservation and preservation than any generation in history. We may not be willing to destroy ourselves for a relationship because we know people do change and not everyone is supposed to stay together forever. But that’s not a bad thing.

I like it. We’ve kind of adopted a “they’re never going to change mentality”. Then join in the negative behavior. Become part of the problem, not the solution 😖

That’s not exactly it. Caring and effort is vulnerable. And vulnerability is often avoided.

It’s cool to NOT care for the wrong people & toxic situations. #SaveYourMentalStrengthForGreaterGood

All of the above and more. It can be a thankless job, still. Smile.

True, but too much care is not cool. It can cause suffocation for others. Everyone has their own lives and own set of interests and views.
Love, care, advice, motivate, but don’t poke your nose in every little thing. Ones ‘too much care’ should not be barrier to others growth and happiness.

So at first it read caring is not cool, then it reads caring is cool. This makes no sense.
