I was told I was beautiful and asked out for dinner last night from a man that I’ve never met before. It was all just words to me. All I could think of was that he wanted to ring in the New Year by tootin and bootin it. Regardless, it was meaningless, and BS to me.

However, when my boyfriend tells me I immediately smile. He just makes me feel beautiful. I could be looking like yesterday’s trash, but I know he genuinely means it when he tells me.

True beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful to one person is a car wreck to another. I personally hate that so much value is placed on how someone looks and not placed on their character. Typically those words are spoken by ugly, lonely people…but that is not me. I just hope that people can look past the riches and makeup and a fat wallet and see each other for how they represent themselves and their family.
