Absolutely true. It does take years to repair that kind of damage trust me. First hand dealing w it.

This is so true but sadly people don’t realize this when they say hurtful things

The only thing that narcissistic relationship did for me was recognize that my son was in trouble and she was a narcissist. That’s how God works for moms I think. How could I have helped him or anybody if I hadn’t had it happen to me?

I wish all would we ALL would take heed to this quote. It happens to all of us. Sometimes the very ones that do practice this are guilty themselves. Everyone is human and we all falter..forgiveness keeps the relationship if all are decent folks. We all have to think of others and think before we open our mouths, the strongest weapon there is.

People don’t understand how easily it is to literally hurt someone just by the words they say. I truly believe emotional abuse is worse than physical abuse. There are words that can destroy someone’s entire soul; even if it’s said out of anger; in the heat of the moment. Always remember that an apology does not take back destructive words you said to a loved one. ?

You can forgive the person, forget how much they hurt you, move on and find someone who truly loves you but that hurt is still there deep inside because it was that that marked the turning point it changed you and made you a different person! Changed how you see yourself, how you think others see you and also how you are in other relationship
