This is so Damn true. I’ve experienced every type of abuse imaginable, but kept an open heart.
I’ve wound up with a better guy than I could ever dream of and I love him dearly.

Sometimes ,we are broken heart after 2 -3 relationship and that makes us skeptical and being scared to open our heart again

There are good guys out there still looking to find someone to love and be loved back. You have to let go of the past and figure out where things went wrong and move on and they will appear.

I was in a really bad marriage, he verbally abused me and physically abused me “in his sleep” (so he claims). I’m with someone now who makes me laugh, wants to know about my day, and doesn’t belittle me or judge me on my past. He accepts my past and is showing me that there are good men out there that are trustworthy. The best part, we’ve known each other for 27 years, we were in high school together. I never thought I would be able to trust again or even care for another man, he’s proven me wrong.

It’s so hard to remember this when it’s been reinforced. And when you find someone who is different and you see it, it still scares you just as much because all the pain you’ve been through. This could not be more true. I almost missed out on the love of my life because I was caught up in dwelling on the pain caused by those that went before. It’s not fair to paint them all with the same brush.
