Hogwash! Marriage is a union recognized and ordained by God.

I know thats right- and sometimes it aint worth the paper its written on!

Marriage has been around longer than man has been putting it on paper.

It is a contract between a woman, a man, and God. Both the husband and wife should respect, love, and nurture each other out of a mutual respect and love for God. Anything less is very sad. If both the wife and husband put forth 150%, when one is having a down moment, the other helps to lift their spouse back into a positive relationship. Don’t “expect love”… “respect love”.

Marriage is much more then a legal document, its a command from the Bible.

Its more than a legal document to me anyways. .it is a promise you made to each other and in front of God… for better or worse for richer or poorer in sickness and in health until death do us part…in my opinion

yeah wth marriage is a sacred vow and now a days its just a paper to people to use as an excuse to back out instead of working things out, not to say that sometimes they don’t work out like people cheating and abusing bc thats breaking vows

Wow. There’s pretty much a lot of debate on this. We are all entitled to our own opinion and we all have our own beliefs about what marriage really is. Some say that it’s just a (legal) document while others believe that marriage is so much more than just a (legal) document. Marriage is far more than a legal document.

Marriage is a combination of love, respect, loyalty, transperancy, faith and friendship.. More importantly a promise between 2 souls to live as 1 forever..

Marriage is NOT just a legal document my friend! Marriage is sacred vow set forth from Christ that man and woman should be united as one, death till you part. Juss sayin.

It’s not just a legal document, it’s a sacrament… The sacrament of marriage involves their entire life as they journey together through the ups and downs of marriage and become more able to give to and receive from each other. Their life becomes sacramental to the extent that the couple cooperates with God’s action in their life and sees themselves as living “in Christ” and Christ living and acting in their relationship, attitudes and actions.
