How I wish I could write to someone… but instead I write in the form of poetry.

I know it’s a shameless plug, but I’d be thrilled to receive some critiquing on my page Poetic Paradigm. Please pretty please 😊

Remember when handwriting could be read? I look at signatures, and cringe. I look at notes with instructions, and people can’t even write carefully enough for the reader to be able to distinguish an 8 from a nine, five or two, and sometimes 1. I’m not knocking technology, but if technology fails, we will no longer be able to communicate by Hand Written word.

I wrote a letter drunk once. The words started making less sense as it went on, and then actually just turned into squiggles and lines as I fell asleep. I laughed at it the next day πŸ˜€

Well enjoy them while you can. They’ll soon be a historical marvel since government in their infinite wisdom has decided that teaching cursive is no longer needed.

Not to forget the smell, the scent of the letter. The emotion behind every word. When you read every line, you put yourself in the place of the writer, feel his fear, his excitement, his heartbreak… And you sit here teary-eyed wishing the next letter to arrive sooner πŸ™‚

Andrea Mullen. This is why I love writing you letters in the book you got me. You can see the feelings in the writing that words can never express alone.

I have piles of handwritten letters from my travels because I’m deaf and it was the only form of communication in the early 90’s as no emails or mobile phones. So glad I kept them as each one has a personality on it’s own.πŸ˜€

For the letters contained her smell. He took the yellow pages and took in fragrance, fragrance of her. And then gaped at her handwriting for a little longer, arranging the emotions and reality, past and present. Teardrops burned his cheeks and smeared the ink on letters some more, there in the sky..shimmering the most like, she smiled with all her might. Love it was, overflowing with memories.

Dear Word Porn,

If you’re going to create a image that glorifies the hand written word … don’t do it in typeface. You come across as insincere.

So why is the message itself typed? And no, I haven’t read all the other 572 comments, so I don’t know if anyone else observed this.

Yes, Old school but it’s way better than emails, text messages and phone calls. Handwritten Letters are the best. <3☺This reminds me of someone who gave me a 4-page-handwritten letter.

One of my biggest disappointments in getting old is that now I have tremors in my hands and ridiculous things happen when I try to write!

The way the first line is really neat handwriting and then the rest is a complete mess because because I can’t keep writing neat for very long. Hand cramps. Etc.
