Was in this situation for 13 years. Finally left 6 years ago & I am still healing myself. It does tremendously am out of damage. I have come a long way.

I always thought there was something romantic about fighting for someone, about winning them back, eventual happiness.
But as i sit here with stones in my chest, where hope use to lay. I have come to realise that there is nothing lovely about having to continuously convince someone to love you.

This is the most stupid thing I have done until I have realized I am no longer loving myself but instead only the man I am begging to love me back

I have been thinking this for days! I’ve been praying that God would help me let go & not beg others to want me in their lives. I’m here if you want me. I bend over backwards for others & get little in return. With God & time, I’ll get my peace. I’m pursuing Him first before others.
